GCAL 8X Certification & Light Performance
GCAL 8X is the top cut grade from GCAL by Sarine. A diamond earns it only by scoring Excellent in all eight cut factors: polish, external symmetry, proportions, optical brilliance, fire, scintillation, optical symmetry and shape aesthetics. One Very Good in any factor and it doesn't qualify. According to GCAL, fewer than 1% of round diamonds graded Excellent qualify for 8X. GCAL now applies the same eight-factor standard to ovals and other fancy shapes. GCAL measures light performance on each diamond with its own imaging, so the fire and brilliance results on this page are this stone's, not a sample.
