How lab grown diamonds are created

Two technologies are used to grow diamonds:

CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition). A diamond seed is placed in a carbon-rich chamber where atoms bond to the seed layer by layer. The slow, controlled process gives precise control over clarity and color, which is why CVD is favored for high-clarity stones with minimal inclusions.

HPHT (High Pressure, High Temperature). Extreme pressure and heat are applied to a carbon source around a seed crystal, replicating the conditions deep inside the earth. HPHT cycles run faster than CVD and can also be used to enhance color in CVD-grown stones.
